DANIEL GRAY (George, John, George, James ) born at Anson, Maine, or as it is now, North Anson, Somerset county, 26th April 1790; died at Napolian, Ark. 1st Oct. 1842; married 12th Sept. 1814, Deborah Dudley. They settled in Munroe county, Ohio, in 1815. Daniel Gray was by profession a teacher, surveyor, lawyer, justice of the peace, postmaster, real estate dealer, etc. He was at one time States Attorney of Monroe co. Ohio, and at another time, a member of aboard appointed by the governor to codify the State Laws. He was founder of Grayville, Ohio, to which he gave his name, where he resided the rest of his life. In 1842 he got on a deal of some kind in real estate at Napolian, Ark. and while there looking after the same, was stricken with fever and died and was buried in the vicinity.

Daniel married Deborah Dudley on 12 Sep 1814. (Deborah Dudley was born on 3 Mar 1791 in Sandy River Township, Maine USA, died on 13 Mar 1870 in Talleyrand, Koekuk County, Iowa USA and was buried in Tyrone Cemetery, Talleyrand, Iowa USA.)
