THOMAS McFADDEN was born 28th Oct. 1740 and died at Embden, Maine 18th Nov. 1840 aged 100 years and 21 days; married (probably in Woolwich, Maine) 1st Jan. 1768 Hannah, dau. of James and Mary (Hilton) Savage of Woolwich, Maine. They settled in Embden, Somerset Co. Maine about the close of the Revolutionary War. He was a Revolutionary War soldier.
"McFadden, Thomas; Georgetown, 1st Lieutenant, Capt. John Hinkley's (7th) Co., 1st Lincoln Co., regt. of Mass. militia; list of officers chosen by several companies in said regiment as returned by Drummer Sewall and others; ordered in the Council 1st July 1776, that said officers be commissioned; reported commissioned 1st July 1776; also 1st Lieutenant, 7th co. Col. Samuel McCobb's (Lincoln co.) regt; regiment returned dated Georgetown, 19th Nov. 1779, made by Lieut. Col. Drummer Sewall. (Mass. Sol. & Sail. Of the Rev. war vol. 10, page 179)
