Scott was born on a Saturday. Scott's Godparents are Patricia Buerckner and Bill Schubert. Scott has a Cricket Umpires ticket and Umpires grade Cricket and under 16's etc.
William Scott McKie was born in Tottenham on 30-Aug-1975 to Susan Joy Buerckner and William Francis McKie. Scott attended Tottenham Public School until his parents moved to Bundanoon in June 1988,and then he went to Moss Vale High school.
He finished School at the end of 1993 after completing his High School Certificate (HSC). He attended various interviews during 1994 but had no luck in securing a job. In December 1994 he attended an interview at Blue Circle Southern Cement in New Berrima for an apprentice Electrical Fitter. He was successful this time and started there in January 1995.
Scott bought a 1979 Toyota Corolla car and did his driving tests in it to get his licence. He then used the car to drive himself to work at New Berrima which is about 30 minutes away from Bundanoon.
He's a keen cricketer and played for Moss Vale third grade and Hotel Moss Vale second grade and third grade. He has a number of cricket trophy's.
Scott completed his Apprenticeship in December 1998 and did another 3 months with Blue Circle before he was finished up. He received His Certificate making him a Qualified Electrical Fitter/ Electrician, on 05-02-1999.
Scott worked with a Contracting Firm from Bathurst for a few months until the work ran out. During that time he was earning $17.35 per hour. In between jobs he worked with a Plumber and a Gardener.
In November 1999 he applied for an Electricians Position with FRH in Mittagong, and was successful. He was told the position was casual, but after about 6 months he was made permanent.
Scott coached the under 12's Cricket team in 1998/99. He received His Coaching Certificate in 1999.Scott was graded to 1st grade cricket with Moss Vale in 2000.
