William Francis (Bill) McKie
General Notes: William Francis McKie suffered from Convulsions when he was 2 years old and nearly died in Hospital. His mother (Rosabell Mary Watson) told Bill this when he was a young Boy. She told him that Dr. Short and Sister Johnson were working on him in the Tottenham Hospital, after she had rushed him there when he took Convulsions. Dr. Short was sticking pins in his body, and he didn't flinch. The Dr. and Sister would look at each other and then at Bill's mother and then back at Bill. Dr. Short took Bill's Appendix out and there were no more Convulsions. Sister Johnson confirmed this with Bill when they met at a School Reunion in Tullamore NSW about 1989. She said that they had nearly lost him and that Bill was very lucky to be alive after what he had gone through. Noted events in his life were: • Occupation: Maintenance Officer. William married Susan Joy (Sue) Buerckner, daughter of Frederick (Fred) Buerckner and Ivy Josephine Dilia (Josie) Doyle, on 6 Sep 1973 in Condobolin, NSW Australia. (Susan Joy (Sue) Buerckner was born on 16 Feb 1947 in Condobolin, NSW Australia.) Marriage Notes: Courthouse |
