A quiet, retiring, unassuming man was Mr. Tom Hiscock, who, at the age of 82 years, was called to his future reward on Wednesday night of last week. He was formerly a resident of Pyalong, but for some years lived on his property at Willowmarvin where his death occurred. The remains were interred in Kilmore General Cemetery on Friday, the funeral being a long one. Rev. E. Finnie (Anglican) conducted the burial service and Mr. Owen McBreen had charge of the mortuary arrangements.

Thomas married Eliza Handford, daughter of Daniel Handford and Mary Ann, in 1870 in Victoria Australia. (Eliza Handford was born in Dec 1851 in Sussex England, died on 18 Apr 1925 in Kilmore, Victoria Australia and was buried on 19 Apr 1925 in Kilmore General Cemetery, Victoria Australia.)
