The death occurred suddenly at her residence on Friday last of Miss Rachael Susan Hiscock, a member of the well known and highly respected district family.
The late Miss Hiscock was born at Pyalong 74 years, being the youngest daughter of the late Thomas and Eliza Hiscock, and came to reside with her parents at Willowmarvin when a child, remaining there until her death. Although of a retiring disposition, she made many friends and will be remembered for her kindness to many and for the keen interest she took in gardening.
She is survived by two brothers, George and Leonard of Willowmarvin. Three sisters and three brothers predeceased her.
After a service at Christ Church, Kilmore, the internment was made in the Kilmore General Cemetery and the funeral was largely attended.
Services at the church and graveside were conducted by the Rev. G. Smith-Gray. Casket bearers were Messrs J. Hiscock, H. Wilkie jnr, L. Rudd, R. Tretherwey, B. Knox, R. Green. Pallbearers, Messrs W. Walter, J. Minogue, N. Bowers, J. Poulter, H. Wilkie snr, R. Walter, W. Ahearn, J. Ahearn and R. Goodman.
Funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. B.A. Skehan, Kilmore.
