On 24 February 1906 Henry Butler wrote to "the Lands Commissioner and agreed to pay 12 pounds per anum from January 1st 1907 for a special lease thereof for a term of 15 years. Yours faithfully Henry Butler. Witness: Joseph Butler."

On 28th February 1906 a Telegram was received at the Dept of Public Lands advising: "withdraw from sale recommended Allot 1 of Camoomilli it includes some Butler improvements. Mrs Eyre has no intention of bidding. Butler offerd 12 pounds per annum for lease of whole selection."
