Elizabeth Butler was buried in the West End Cemetery Townsville grave number 4701. Elizabeth died at Tully St South Townsville at the home of Joseph Walker her son-in-law who was her daughter Elizabeth's husband.
Her death certificate records that she had one male child deceased. This is aalso recorded on George Butler's birth certificate 26 August 1874 issed at Mackay. This child may possibly have been born in Lancashire prior to the family's immigration to Australia. Ian Hollins grandson of Rhoda Butler and William Hollins said he understood there were two male children deceased but there are no records available to clarify this as at 2005.


Elizabeth married Henry (Harry) Butler, son of Richard Butler and Rhoda Thame, on 8 Feb 1863 in St Peters, Liverpool St, Liverpool, Lancashire England. (Henry (Harry) Butler was born on 22 Feb 1834 in Fringford, Oxfordshire England, christened on 27 Apr 1834 in Fringford, Oxfordshire England and died on 25 Jan 1924 in Magnetic Island, Townsville, Queensland Australia.)
