Jean Rae

  • Born: 31 Oct 1762, St Ninians, Stirling, Stirlingshire Scotland UK
  • Marriage (1): Andrew Learmonth on 21 Dec 1792 in Airth, Stirling, Stirlingshire Scotland
  • Died: 1814, Airth, Stirling, Stirlingshire Scotland at age 52

Noted events in her life were:

• source. Rita Dowdall who writes:
[grayfamilytree.FTW] [learmouth.FTW] Jean family mostly lived in the Airth area right from the mid 1600. They were buried in the the castle church yard. On her mothers side the Manuel s seem to stay in the Airth area as well. No Re to what they were employed at. I have visited Rae graves and they are still readable. I need to recheck the graveyard index which gives names to plots. A great boon for us genealogists in Scotland. This is held in the local libraries. There is some Rae still in the area with one being a butcher in Kincardine. Do not know if he is linked. I went to school with Rae's and they looked a lot like the Learmonth's could be chance.

Jean married Andrew Learmonth, son of Andrew Learmonth and Margaret McAllister, on 21 Dec 1792 in Airth, Stirling, Stirlingshire Scotland. (Andrew Learmonth was born on 25 Mar 1770 in Muiravonside or Falkirk, Stirlingshire Scotland UK and died in 1841 in Dunmore Estate, Stirlingshire Scotland.)
