An Ann Pain lived in Sidcot Hamlet (Sidcot Road), the same hamlet as Charl es Payne and RoseAnn Payne Templar. This woman was living alone at the t ime, gives her age as 60 (which fits with this Ann Andrews Pain) and her o ccupation as Pauper/Fruit Seller.

Is this Charles and RoseAnn's mother?? I consider this to be highly like ly.

There is a George Pain, Pauper/General Labourer in the Compton Bishop Work house ... but apparently no Ann Pain. Had the couple been forced to sepa rate because of financial conditions and/or health??
