William George Payne

   Another name for William was George.

  General Notes:

William George's son (Frederick Clarence Edward or Clarence Edwin Frederi ck depending on who you believe Army Records filled in by Edward himse lf or his birth Certificate), gave his next of kin on his Army recor ds as his Father "George" so obviously William George called himself Geor ge .... well, why not??? If he didn't he probably would have felt left o ut there were so many other George's in the family.
