Graduated from Doune Academy, valedictorian, 1899; from Denison University, 1902-1904; graduated in Columbia University, New York, obtained the degree of A.M., 1904-1905; teacher of biology in Joliet, ILL., Township High School, 1905-1907. Removed to Alberta, Canada, on account of his health, obtained a section of land where he has since resided (1912)
