Albert possibly born Reg no: 11627/1890 District: Crookwell and died 13.06.1950 aged 71 years Reg no: 14390/1950 District: Maitland. He was buried in the Cof E portion of the East Maitland Cemetery. Section 17 Plot 37, next to his wife. Parents James J Watman and Annie.

Albert John Watman was a hard working man who had a love for horses, listing himself as a groom on his marriage certificate. Albert John was living in Morpeth when he married Sarah Mary Warby in 1910. He is said to have been the local sanitary cart operator. This would entail a nightly run with the horse and cart. Traversing the street of Morpeth, and a quick trip to every outhouse to swap the tar coated can, collect the used one (full of night soil) and replace it with the empty, up on the shoulder and back onto the cart. Sarah Mary Warby was a local girl, the daughter of James & Margaret Warby. Sarah Mary listed herself as domestic duties on their marriage certificate. Sarah had a child of two years at the time of their marriage. Violet took the Watman name in life, however Warby was listed on her birth certificate. Albert and Sarah lived at Morpeth untill c.1925, then moved to Moontown, East Maitland. They lived in a double detached house in Mill street which is on the western edge of East Maitland bounded by the New England Highway, Melbourne Street and Wallis Creek. Albert John's death certificate shows they lived at Greta (near Branxton) just before he died, and that he died in Maitland hospital. Albert and Sarah are both buried in the Church of England cemetery at East Maitland, located in an unmarked grave about half way down row 17 graves 36 & 37.
