General Notes:
Calvin Warby notes: Interred in Ashes scattered, occupation Wharf labourer. Story as told by Roy Watman Jnr. Jack was a poor man who had a hard life, and was a victim of the grog (alcohol). Very occasionally Uncle Jack would visit dad but this was usually a short visit and I do not think they were close. However Dad would always know when Uncle Jack was in hospital and we would visit him. Uncle Jack did not like hospital and would discharge himself. He would then return to the pub with his mates where he preferred to be. Albert and Gladys lived at Harris Street Pyrmont (or Ultimo) when they we first married. They lived in a two story terrace house just at the end of Darling Harbour (Cockle Bay) and Uncle Jack worked on the wharves, probably the finger wharves as they were known. (Info from Hector Foote, a workmate of mine, whom befriended Uncle jack in his latter life)
