Left £100 by aunt Frances Shoosmith and £700 by uncle William Shoosmith. 1841 CENSUS: Living in Place House, Rodmell, age 62, occupation farmer and birthplace in Sussex. (HO 107, 1112, 5, 5.) Twin of Richard, Charles farmed at Place House, Rodmell for many years. He and his brother Thomas (who lived at Northease) were the biggest ratepayers in Rodmell and Charles was churchwarden and overseer for decades.
