Wedding Dinner.
Last evening Mr. and Mrs. Walter G. Hiscock, of Burke road, Kew, entertained a large number of relatives and family friends at a well-arranged dinner at Carlyon's Hotel, Esplanade, St. Kilda, in honour of the marriage which will be quietly celebrated to-day of their eldest daughter Maude, with Mr. Harold Fitzjohn
Pearson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Pearson, of Wonga road, Ringwood. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Hiscock and Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, in the drawing-room adjoining the lounge, and dinner was
served in the private dining-room, where the tables were set with high rustic baskets of pink heath carnations and ferns, alternated with flat bowls of violets. The health of the bride and bridegroom elect
was proposed by Mr. E. A. Lang, and that of the bride's parents by Mr. Agar Wynne.
Mrs. Hiscock wore an elegant and becoming gown of black crepe romaine, beautifully embroidered by hand, with small jet nail heads and one side of the well-hung skirt had a draped panel of black gold, and old rose brocaded ribbon. She carried a bouquet of brown ladies slipper orchid.
Mrs Pearson s black satin gown was veiled with an overdress of black tulle embroidered with cornflower blue and gold. She also carried a bouquet of orchids. Miss Maude Hiscock (the bride elect) wore a
frock of white crepe mariette, brocaded with a pattern in gold thread, and the skirt was set at either side with handkerchief panels of white georgette with a flat medallion of small pink and blue flowers on the
left side. Mrs Agar Wynne's handsome gown was of black satin draped with heavy lace.
Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Wynne. Mr. and Mrs. Page Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. George Herd, Mr. and Mrs. J. Askew, Mr. and Mrs. Henry McCrea, Mrs. Storie, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Saddler, Mrs. E.
