• fact. Job Bagby died in his sleep - he had been to The Leather 'n' Bottle pub over the road and brought a half pint jug of beer to drink at home. His wife Rebecca found him dead in bed the following day - apparently this was reported in the Newspaper. (Source verbal from Lucy May Bagby his Grandaughter - Aug 2003).
Lucy thinks he was about 73-75 years of age and died in the 1930's - only men were allowed at his funeral the women stayed at home.
His name Job - was pronounced Jobe.

Job married Rebecca Surman, daughter of Elisha Surman and Lucy Elwell. (Rebecca Surman was born on 8 Nov 1861 in Terrace St, Wednesbury, Staffordshire England.)
