• Medical. Sarah had severe diabetes, and most of her older life she suffered from severe ulceration of her legs. The only treatment for diabetes was to not eat sweet things, as there was no insulin treatment at this time. The treatment for the ulcers, was to bathe them in warm water with hydrogen peroxide. Her grandson, James Albert, used to deal with all this, as her husband was too busily occupied with all his other endeavours.
