Woodrow, Maria was 18 years old a the time of her marriage. But records of her marriage (age as 'full' ie 21 yrs or over), census information and her death registration all point to year of birth as 1828. According to the 1861 census her age at that date is given as 33 years, 6 years younger then her husband. Her age on the 1881 census is given as 53 years, 6 years the junior of her husband, Daniel Cunningham. On the 1901 census Maria gives her age as 75 yrs. Her age on her death is given as 79 years in 1907 Thus it would appear that Maria Luya was born in 1828 and was 22 years old at the time of her marriage.
