Catherine was stated to be "Bond" when she married.
Dec. 1840 - In the employment of George Cox (50acre farm in Illawarra) James Vivian also employed by Cox. ( Australasian Chronicle Dec.19 1840)
9 April 1845 - receives "Certificate of Freedom" (45/0475...item #4/4397 on film 1019)
24 Aug 1849 - renews "Certificate of Freedom" (49/0385...item #4/4413 on film 1026)
11 Nov 1851 - Arrive in Sydney from California looking to contact James & Jacob Vivian (Sydney Morning Herald advert)
article also indicates Catherine & family (Mary & Charlotte?) are leaving for California on the 16th.
6 June 1854 - A notice in Syd, M. Herald, "If James Vivian, brickmaker or his son Jacon Vivian, supposed to be in Wollongong, will call at Mr. C. Ray's Prince Street No.23, they will hear of something greatly to their advantage." She married (1) James William Vivian, married 12 Feb 1839 in C of E Dapto, Wollongong NSW, b. 1805 in Dorsetshire England. She married (2) Christopher Terry Duke, married 27 Mar 1871 at 41 Burton street Sydney NSW, b. 21 Dec 1824 in Dittisham Devon England, d. 03 Jan 1905 at Francis street Granville NSW, buried 05 Jan 1905 at Independant sec. Rookwood Cemetary Sydney NSW.
