Emma Kirkbride, b. 1^st April 1859 on a farm near Stafford, Monroe Co., Ohio; married 30^th March 1878 at South Olive, Ohio, Oscar Miller Rice, son of Henderson and Elizabeth (Miller). His father was from Virginia and his mother was born in Germany. He was born 30^th Aug. 1854 on a farm near Lebanon, Monroe Co., Ohio. They removed to Coffee Co. Kans in 1883where Oscar M. Rice was elected to the state legislature in 1889 on a populist ticket. In 1811 they removed to Sedan, Mont. where they were still living on a ranch in 1912. They are both members of the Baptist church.

Emma married Oscar Miller Rice, son of Henderson Rice and Elizabeth Miller, on 30 Mar 1878 in South Olive, Ohio USA. (Oscar Miller Rice was born on 30 Aug 1854 in Lebanon, Monroe County, Ohio USA.)
