Peter Troilus Stanley Gray

[Peter] Troilus Stanley was born at Bendigo Vic. Jan. 1933. Peter attended
Wedderburn State School to Grade 6. In 1944, his first year at secondary schooling, he resided with his paternal grandparents, May Alice (Bown) and Troilus Gray in the Melbourne suburb of North Balwyn. Peter attended East Kew Central School where he was top of the class, (In spite of "playing truant" for a total of three weeks).
In 1945 he resided in Bendigo with his maternal grandparents Stanley Austin Gant and Irene Lyon Gant and attended Bendigo High School until early 1948 when he was re-united with his family at Stawell and attended High School for the final term.
His reunion with the family was short-lived. In 1949 Peter was a "border" at Caulfield Grammar School, returning to Stawell to matriculate.
In 1951 he became a junior clerk in the Box Hill branch of the Commercial Bank Of Australia, but he was "called up" for compulsory National Service in June. He was based at Laverton Royal Air Force base where he undertook three months of basic training before being trained at Melbourne Technical College to become a Wireless Maintenance Mechanic (Air).
At the conclusion of his RAAF service Peter did not return to the bank, instead joining 3DB-3LK radio station to train as a broadcast radio technician. Later studies in Australia and America led to diplomas in radio engineering and marketing and to the establishment of manufacturing and sales facilities in Australia and Britain.

Peter married Jocelyn Curnow in Sep 1959. (Jocelyn Curnow was born circa 1935.)
