married Dorothy Sarah Dickson (born Sydney, 1906) and had a son, Ken (b. circa 1930, d. 1996). After Dorothy died he married a widow, Una Smee (nee McLean) in 1957. Cec lived most of his married life, firstly at Balgowlah and later at Seaforth. He was a traveller and then sales manager for Robert Reid & Co. a well known company in the 'rag-trade'.

Cecil married Dorothy Sarah Dickson, daughter of David Dickson and Mary Sullivan, on 28 Dec 1927 in St Stephens Presbyterian Church, Macquarie St, Sydney, NSW Australia. (Dorothy Sarah Dickson was born in 1906 in Sydney, NSW Australia ¹⁰⁹².)
