• source. Doug Hooper who notes:
He died on 20 Jun 1935 at Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia, aged 76. Mr T. T. Harris
(dated June 25th, 1935)

The death look place on Thursday evening of MR T.T. Harris, a well known and highly respected resident, after a severe illness extending over several months. The late Mr Harris, who was 76 years of age, went under an operation, from which he partially recovered, but painful complications setting in some months ago, he gradually sank and passed away on Thursday evening.

The late Mr Harris, in his younger days, was for seven years in Broken Hill and afterwards went to New Zealand for some time. Later he returned and about 1890 came to Brim to work on a farm. Later he purchased a block at Brim and with his wife and family farmed there for some years. About the year 1902 he sold his block at Brim and purchased a property at Willenabrina, where the family continued to live until some years later, when he retired to Warracknabeal and where he has lived since. Deceased was for several years a member of the bowling club and was also a constant attendant at the mechanics' clubroom. The farm at Willenabrina is still worked by one of the sons.

Deceased leaves a wife and family of three sons and one daughter. The members of the family are: William Oliver Esmond (Bairnsdale), Elias George Solomon (Warracknabeal), Harold Thomas (Yellangip), and Janey Elizabeth (Mrs Collins, Warburton). Ruby Irena is deceased.

While it is hard to lose the old people by death, still in this case it was a happy release from suffering. To the sorrowing wife and family the sympathy of a large circle of friends and acquaintances is extended. The remains were interred in the Warracknabeal cemetery on Sunday. A service was held at St Mary's Church, after which the cortege moved to the Warracknabeal cemetery. The Rev. Father Bushell officiated at the graveside. The casket was borne by Messrs W. Harris, E.G. Harris, H.T. Harris, A. Hansberry, J. Kelly and J. Murphy, and the pall-bearers were Messrs John Campbell. Robt. Smith, C. Wallis. G. Down. J. Gould. J.J. O'Callaghan, J. Chase and D. Murphy. Fred. Watson Ply. Ltd. satisfactorily carried out the mortuary arrangements.

Thomas married Maria Thirza Solomon on 15 Apr 1884 in St Agnes, Marrabel, South Australia. (Maria Thirza Solomon was born circa 1860.)
