  General Notes:

Death cert dated 13/4/1846 shows age as 74 and cause as old age and fever. Eli z a beth Simmonds (illiterate) present at death. This would mean she was born 17 7 2 . The 1841 census (which was not totally accurate shows her as being born c . 1 77 3. The Parish Record transcript shows her age as 75 but this may have bee n wr ong ly transcribed. A MI transcript shows her as being 77 at her death bu t in vi ew o f the poor state of the MI this could very well be 73.

• Baptism, 28 Apr 1773, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex England.

Mary married John Marchant, son of Thomas Marchant and Elizabeth Morton, on 29 Jan 1793 in St Georges, Hanover Square, London England. (John Marchant was born in 1768, died on 12 Feb 1844 and was buried on 16 Feb 1844 in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex England Tomb.)
