  General Notes:

Charles was a trained civil engineer, and became Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, Cuttack. He was said to have designed the MARCHANT Dredger which kept the River Hoogli clear for shipping.
He lived in a large home, Jobra, Cuttack. Later he built "Winifred Lodge" in Cuttack for his retirement.
