  General Notes:

Ken Gray notes:
OBITUARY of Mrs. Eliza Gray, widow and relict of Joshua Rogers Gray who died in Wedderburn, Victoria Province, Australia, 27th July 1911. ( A clipping from an Australian paper).
We regret to record the death of another old and respected resident of this district, in the person of Mrs. Eliza Gray, relict of the late Mr. J. R. Gray. Mrs. Gray was one of the most widely known an esteemed ladies of the town and district, and with her death, which occurred at her late residence on Thursday, 27th July, another one of the few remaining links connecting the early days of the state and the present is severed. The deceased lady had for the last few years not enjoyed the best of health, and the few weeks her troubles became acute. For some days prior to her decease her medical attendants, Drs. Taylor and Rinder, held out no hope of her recovery. Everything that was possible, was done for her comfort, and with her sons present she passed quietly away at half-past eight on Thursday evening.
Mrs. Gray was a daughter of the late Mr. Jas. Donald, W.S., of Edinburgh, and was born on the 28th January 1829. She was thus in her 83rd year. She came to Victoria in 1855, and came to Wedderburn. Two years later she married Mr. J. R. Gray. The ceremony took place at Donolly, that being the residence of the nearest clergyman. Practically all Ms. Gray's married life was spent in Wedderburn. Her husband proceeded her nine years ago. Mrs. Gray had a family of seven sons, four of whom are living. They are Mr. J. R. Gray (secretary of Korong Shire), Mr. Olive Gray, Mr. A. Gray, and Mr. Troilus Gray, (postmaster at Wedderburn).
The funeral, which was largely attended, took place Saturday, the remains being entered in the Wedderburn cemetery. , The coffin bearers were the sons of the deceased. The service at the grave side was conducted by Rev. J. H. Daws, of the Presbyterian Church, Wedderburn.

Elizabeth married Joshua Rogers Gray Snr, son of Daniel Gray and Deborah Dudley, on 22 Jul 1857 in Australia. (Joshua Rogers Gray Snr was born on 23 Nov 1828 in Malaga, Monroe County, Ohio USA and died on 20 Jun 1902 in Wedderburn, Victoria Australia.)
