  General Notes:

Lilian met her husband Norman Sibley through her association with the Camberwell Baptist Church.
After her marriage she lived at 7 Allison Ave. Glen Iris, until 1939 when she moved two streets away to 6 Sherwood St. She lived there until 1975, when after Norman's death she was unable to look after herself, she was moved by her son Graeme to a nursing home in Queanbeyan, N.S.W. A year later she was moved to Morling Lodge, the Baptist nursing home in Red Hill Canberra where she lived for two years until her death in 1978. She died of arteriosclerosis and senile dementia. Her funeral was conducted at Ashburton Baptist Church, Melbourne.
Lilian's main interests involved her family, church, and her love of music. She was active in the Camberwell Baptist Church from about 1913 to 1930/31, and then in the Ashburton Baptist Fellowship from about 1930 to 1975. She and her parents and sisters had attended the Camberwell Baptist Church after they moved to 44 Station St. She was received into membership on the 14th November 1915.
She was a leader of the Kindergarten Department of the Sunday School, and a foundation member of the Ashburton Church and the last of the foundation members at the time of her death. Her love of music was expressed in her piano playing. Although untrained as a singer she had a pleasant contralto voice. She sang in the Malvern Choral Society, the Orphean Choristers and the Asburton Church choir.
