CASUALTIES AND FATALITIES.
YOUTH’S JAWBONE FRACTURED.
Suffering from a comminuted fracture of the jaw, Vivian Hiscock, 16 years of age who resides with his parents in Lennox Street, Moonee Ponds, was admitted to the Melbourne Hospital yesterday. He stated that he was thrown from a horse, which afterwards kicked him on the jaw.

Viv became engaged to a girl who during the 2nd World War effort worked in an ammunition factory. She died from the effects of gun powder poisoning. He remained a bachelor.
He worked as an accountant for Griffith tea and later on at General Motors Holden at Dandenong and lived with his brother George. Viv was a very fussy housekeeper and kept the house spotless.
He was hard of hearing and spoke very softly while the person he was speaking to had to shout to make themselves heard.
Every time Viv met anyone, he always told the story of the houses he had bought and sold over the years.
He had played football in his youth. An injury he received to his back resulted in him being very bent over in his old age. He also took a great interest in sports all his life and donated a few trophy’s to some of the local teams.
