Eliza is a bit of a mystery to us as we do not have much info of her early life. Her birth certificate gives her mother as Charlotte nee Goodson and the father as John Wilson, Packer but we cannot find out any more info on them from any census. I hope to go to their local offices later this year to try to find out any more. However, Eliza's marriage certificate gives her father as Peter Wilson, wine merchant but we cannot find any trace of him. My mother was born in 1914 and said that Eliza was the only grandparent alive when she was born - no other details
In the 1871 census Eliza was working as a domestic servant to William and Elizabeth Edmeads at Soho Square, St Annes, Westminster, London England
In the 1911 census she was living as a widow at 5 Woodville Rd, Wood Green, Middlesex England

Eliza married Frederick Thomas Howe, son of Henry Lockers (Lewis) Howe and Caroline Durban, on 29 Jan 1877 in Holy Trinity, Marylebone Rd, Westminster, Middlesex England.
