Mrs. Fred Meinel
Mrs. Fred Meinel 1315 N. Main Street, died at her home June 14, at 1:30 a. m. following an illness of approximately 2 years.
Clara Annette Goes was born in the Town of Farmington on April 19, 1896, being the daughter of Leonard and Emma Goes. On May 24, 1923, she was united in marriage with Fred Meinel of this city and since that time has made her home here.
Quiet and unassuming Mrs. Meinel's circle of friends was comparatively small, but to everyone with whom she came in contact, her pleasing personality was a constant source of charm. She was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran church.
Surviving are her husband and mother, Mrs. Eda Biederman of Farmington, Mrs. Esther Moldenhauer of Deerfield and Mrs. Hilda Schmidt of Jefferson, all sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. O. Kuhlow officiating.
Wm. Corwith, Henry Nass, Elmer Kiealing, Ed Banker, Clarence Frohmader, and Ben Bergholz acted as pallbearers.
Flowers were in charge of Olga Schmidt, Mrs. Wm. Corwith, Mrs. Ed Banker, Anna Reinel, Mabel Lang, Mrs. Ben Bergholz, Lurline Dobberstein and Irma Wollin.
Burial was in Union Cemetery.

Meinel - Goes
Miss Clara Goes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goes of this city and Mr. Fred W. Meinel, son of Mrs. H. Meinel, were united in marriage at the Lutheran parsonage last Thursday afternoon, May 24th, at four o'clock. the Rev. H. K. Moussa performed the ceremony. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Moldenhauer of Marshall, Wis.
The bride was attired in a fawn colored suit with hat to match and wore a corsage of pink sweet peas.
At five o'clock a four course dinner was served to the immediate relatives. The table decorations were plink and white.
Both young people are well known throughout Jefferson County. the bride is a highly accomplished and very popular young lady. He admirable character and her pleasing disposition has won for her many friends. Since her graduation from the Jefferson High School she has been a very successful teacher in the Jefferson and Sauk county schools.
The groom is a splendid young man holding a good position with the Home Lumber Co.
Mr. ana Mrs. Fred Meinel will reside at 1315 North Main St., which property the groom has recently purchased.
