Ivy took care of her sister's Catherine Charlotte (nee Dawson) Duff's children after Catherine died April 19, 1934 - William James Duff was the brother of her husband and she saw that Catherine's children stayed in the family. The children stayed with her until other family got involved and took them away together but on the most part of growing up they stayed with Ivy and Charles. She saw with her three children born c1936 - c1938 that the other three would make up a full and happy house. Her sister's children were older but very helpful with her new children. Charles Bernard Duff, her husband, made the house always a home, and full of love, and full of happiness.
