  General Notes:

Louise Rampling (Palmer?)
Paul Shurte notes:
Thomas Dawson received his baptism in April 1825, at Renhold, Bedfordshire, England where he became a Baptist at that time. When he died he was buried January 1914, at the Methodist Section of the Armidale Cemetery, New South Wales, Australia. Before he left England he had a basic education by 1848 that gave him the ability to read but he was unable to break that down to be able to write. He could read words of English from the Bible but not write. When he was in Australia he emigrated in 1850 from the coastal towns to settle in "Longridge" in the Hunter Valley, of Armidale, Ollera, Guyra, New South Wales. This means after he had Immigration July 16, 1848, to Australia on the vessel "Equestrian" when departing Plymouth, England and landing last in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia he then moved to Longridge. In England his occupation before departing was that of a Laborer, and after arriving in Australia he continued to perform in that trade in addition developing his skill as a Shepherd and Stockman with his trade. Even after he married he continued his religious beliefs between the years 1825 to 1863 and maintained his convictions as a Baptist. He was so convinced about this belief that he had his first two sons also baptized as Baptist. Mary Ann Garner did not resist even though she was a Church of England faith
