Mary Anne Burgess nee Whitehill was known as Anne Burgess.She arrived in Sydney aboard the Surrey with her mother at age 9 and married Joseph Burgess at age 14 in 1838. They had 14 children. Joseph is also buried in this cemetery.

Mary married Joseph Burgess. (Joseph Burgess was born in 1811 in Essex England, died on 6 Feb 1886 in Berkeley, Wollongong, NSW Australia and was buried in Wollongong Cemetery, NSW Australia C of E.)
