Joseph and Annie Poulter who were licensees of Wellington Heifer moved out, so Arnold and Ethel Poulter moved north with Doris and son Arnold to ta ke over the running of the pub. While Doris was living there war broke out and she met husband John. She lived in Linden, Main Street, Ainderby Steeple, Yorkshire North Riding on 26 May 1977.
Doris POULTER and John William Richard EUSTON were married on 14 Jun 1945 in St Helen's Parish Church, Ainderby Steeple, Yorkshire North Riding. During WW2 he was posted to RAF Leeming. He met Doris at a Catholic Ha ll Dance. They lived in Hampshire in 1946. John William Richard Euston was demobilised from the army after World War 2. He wanted to be near his family, so they moved back down to Hampshire. They lived in The Bothy, Heckfield Place, Heckfield, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 0LD on 2 Apr 1948. They lived in Wellington Heifer pub, Ainderby Steeple, Yorkshire North Riding about 31 Aug 1950. John and Doris moved to Ainderby Steeple with daughters Marilyn and Doreen to run the Wellington Heifer pub after Arnold Poulter (who with his wife Ethel was the licensee) died.
