The Mitchell's have always interested me from when I went to the church in Swan Hill, built by William Mitchell senior, at about 5 years old and later to show my children. One of Agnes' girls was a teacher at the church in my dad's first parish at Mt Barker W.A. and I have a booklet with a photo of her with the students.

Agnes married Edward Alfred Frederick Compton, son of George Spencer Compton and Elizabeth Ley, on 23 Apr 1890 in Bridgetown, Western Australia. (Edward Alfred Frederick Compton was born on 19 Nov 1867 in St Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria Australia and died in May 1930 in Perth, Western Australia.)
