who notes that the Neuendorfs lived in Fassifern Valley, Queensland and that all the family were farmers. He also says that Len, along with George, was bandmaster for the Salvation Army Band at Kalbar before moving to Southport.

Leonard married Violet Emma Kuhz, daughter of Christian Frederich Wilhelm Kuhz and Hannah Sarah Melton, on 6 Dec 1933. (Violet Emma Kuhz was born on 24 Sep 1912 and died in Feb 2001.)
