Calvin Warby notes: Immigrated 10 Jul 1837 in 'Mangles' (8) - Convict [7 year sentence] John: John CHEVINGTON - convict no. 37/1268. Aged 22 - could not read or write - protestant - single - native place = Surrey ENG - labourer - tried 18 October 1836 at Surrey quarter sessions for stealing fowls - sentence 7 years - no former convictions. His physical description is given as: 5 ft. 5½ in. - brown complexion - brown hair - hazel eyes - eyebrows meeting - small dark mole on right cheek bone - three small moles right side of neck - six moles on right arm - scar on calf of right leg.

If one accepts that John Chivington's parents are as enumerated in Ewell for 1841 (but I have not traced their marriage reported to have taken place in 1813) then your kinfolk there are as noted below. 1841 Census transcribed as Cheverter/Chevington James 50, Charlotte 50, William 15 George 12 & James 9 St Mary's burials James Chivington, 63, 5/1/1846 Charlotte Cherrington (sic), 74, 1/8/1862 William Chivington, 71, 9/7/1894 George Chivington, 33, 13/6/1863 [married 6/5/1855 to Sarah Lee he and his father Labourers] James Chivington ? - died in Epsom Workhouse, 9/4/1910, from Ewell aged 79.
