Found on the 1881 Census at Aston Union Workshouse, Gravelly Hill, Erdington, Birmingham. Agnes Wagstaffe aged 12 inmate b. Birmingham Anne " aged 10 " b. " Alfred " aged 8 " b. " Caroline " aged 6 " b. " Fanny " aged 3 " b. " They must have gone into the workhouse in 1879 when their mother died and father was taken away. Aston Union - Servants and Apprentices 1882 - 1893 Found that Agnes was sent out to work for John Whorton of 99 Coventry Road. Need to find her on the 1891 Census if possible. She married John Thomas Farndon in 1891 and had a daughter Caroline Clarice Farndon 1892. We believe he died very young but as yet unable to find note of his death. She married John Sumner about 1900 as she is shown on her father's death certificate as Agnes Sumner (daughter) and appears on the 1901 census as Agnes Sumner.
