James (Kentwell) Shields had 12 children with Mary Ann Bellamy (my line).
James was known as James Cantwell/Kentwell until he was 14 and then when he
was baptised his name after that was James Shields.
At Menangle School aged 14 his name was James Cantwell Shields.
Religion Catholic. He was baptised 30 Dec 1827 at St Johns Parramatta.
The Irish had no churches or priests out here for the practice of their faith.
