• fact. After the accident and the death of son Frank, George decided to move his family to Parramatta, Sydney. NSW and start all over again. George had loved his wife dearly and she had given him a silk scarf which he wore always, but on the 13 Oct 1903 while working in his butcher shop he had some sort of fit and choked to death on the scarf before anyone could save him. (Apparently he suffered from some type of epilepsy.

George married Maria O'Brien, daughter of Charles O'Brien and Margaret Devoy, on 17 Feb 1886 in "Wildwoods", near Gilgandra, NSW Australia. (Maria O'Brien was born in 1862 in Pickabutter, Coolah Creek, NSW Australia, christened on 6 Jul 1862 and died on 1 May 1902 in "Inglegar", Warren, NSW Australia.)
