• fact. John was a witness to his daughter Eliza's marriage to George TREWEEKE 27 Aug 1828 at Breage, Cornwall. An extract from John's grandson William's reminisences: " "Tremeane"...was Grandfather's place ... or "Sithney Green " which was Grandmother Russell's place" " A fine old gentleman was Grandfather Glasson whom everyone knew, respected and loved. He often gladdened my young heart by his gifts, more frequently in small silver than in coppers. "Sitheny Green" was in a very different situation [to "Tremearne"]. We always went "down" to "Tremearne" [from "Trevena"] but "over" to "Sithney Green". " He [ Father William] had entered into an agreement for the sale of his share of "Trevena"
