COROWA FREE PRESS Friday 18 October 1812 Early on Wednesday morning last, 16 October, there passed away, at his residence at Redlands, an old and respected resident of the district, in the person of Mr John Goodwin, brother of Messrs Edward, Daniel and James Goodwin. Mr Goodwin appeared to be well, except for a cold, up to a few days before his death, but alarming symptoms of pneumonia developed, and his relations were summoned, his wife being away in Melbourne at the time. Mr Goodwin gradualll became worse, and in spite of careful nursing he succumbed as stated. Deceased was 48 years of age, and leaves a widow (who,by the way, was a Miss Kennedy , of Corowa) and a grown-up famly to mourn their loss. The funeral tok place in Corowa new Cemetery yesterday afternoon, The Rev P Hickey reading the burial service, while Mr Charles Clayton had charge of the funeral arrangements.
