When Sarah Jane married Charles Parrish, they were also employed on Wolgan Staion, near Wallerawang, NSW, where she worked as a domestic. She had the misfortune of being seriously burnt, when her dress caught alight and died soon after. She was buried in the Old Barton Estate cemetery at Wallerawang.
