Maxwell Steven Truscott was born on 16 June 1916 at Muswellbrook and he died on 8 October 1987 at Yamba. He is buried at the War Memorial cemetery in Lismore. He was a doctor and had WWII service as a Major in Syria and Papua New Guinea and was awarded a Mention in Dispatches. See his separate military service record from the National Archives. He is also quoted six times in a WWII book called "Far Above Battle." He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1939 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He married Barbara Joan Truscott (nee Chatfield) on 15 May 1941. Barbara Truscott was born on 17 June 1916 in Sydney and she died in Sydney on 29 July 2007.
