'Googongs' homestead was located about 15 Klms. south of Queanbeyan NSW. A quick visit to the area failed to find any existance of the old homestead & evidence
from the existing owner that the property had changed hands several times over the years, he said that there where no old records found on the property. Today the name remains as a suberb of Queanbeyan and site of the 'Googongs Dam' which stores water for the area on the Molonglo River.
Charlotte married Frederick George Forrester, son of George James Forrester and Rebecca Gardiner, on 12 Sep 1899 in Christ Church C of E, Queanbeyan, NSW Australia. (Frederick George Forrester was born on 19 Jun 1873 in Gunderoo, NSW Australia and died on 23 Mar 1957 in Port Kembla, NSW Australia.)
