Research Notes:

kbarnicki has Thomas Wilkes (1633) parents as John Wilkes (1607 & Barbara Heyward (1615) however, I think it more likely that it was Richard Wilkes & Eleanor Whitcott & that Tomas was actually born in 1641 & married Elizabeth Lea.
So I have both Thomas Wilkes listed at this stage until it is proved either way.

Those names, Bennett, Bray...they are all names associated with Thomas and his group of people (the Robert Beckingham gang I call them [I believe he was a benefactor of several young "distressed Cavaliers" or "distressed debtors") These were Royalist families fleeing England, it's civil wars, and religious oppression.
