Mary Ann Gobey arrived to NZ at Port Lyttelton as a single woman on "Gonanoque" the ship left on 9-2-1860 and arrived 9-5-1860. She is listed as Mary Gohey aged 18 from Gloucestershire Occupation Domestic Servant. Cost of passage 15 Pounds cash paid 2 Pounds and a promissory note of 13 Pounds was issued, mother listed as Gobbie on Death cert of Frederick William Blackmore.
Mary died (chiildbirth) on 21 June 1885, aged 44 years, in Makakihi, Waimate, Canterbury, New Zealand. She was
buried in Waimate Cemetery, Waimate, Sth Canterbury, New Zealand.

Mary married John Davy Blackmore, son of John Totnes Blackmore and Elizabeth Salmon or Selmon, on 29 Aug 1860 in Kaiapoi, Christchurch New Zealand. (John Davy Blackmore was born on 29 Oct 1841 in Exeter, Devon England, died on 24 Jul 1901 in Waimate, South Canterbury New Zealand and was buried in Waimate Cemetery, South Canterbury New Zealand.)
