Noted events in his life were: • source. & Mike Shearer • Occupation. labourer & in 1868 he was listed as a dairyman with his brother Samuel & in 1884 he was listed as a miner & also as a carter. After that he was the Publican of the Shire Arms Hotel, Reef Street Maldon and in March 1889 he transferred the licence to John Lawn Williams. • emigrated. emigrated to Australia on the "Victory" with his parents 1857 & went to Castlemaine with friends from the ship Edward married Anne McNicholl, daughter of John McNicholl and Elizabeth Moor, on 8 Dec 1860 in Maldon, Victoria Australia. (Anne McNicholl was born circa 1833, died on 20 Apr 1912 and was buried in Rookwood Cemetery, Lidcombe, Sydney, NSW Australia C of E Section.) Noted events in their marriage were: • source.
