George Foster (Convict)

According to my research, and of others in my branch of the Foster Family, George's Father was George Foster, and his Mother was Jane (nee Conroy). Both George Foster, Snr, and Jane Conroy arrived in New South Wales as convicts. George aboard the convict ship Eliza, in 1822, and Jane aboard the Forth, in 1830. George's Death Certificate says that he died on September 10, 1886 at Burraja (outside Corowa) and he was buried in an unmarked grave, which unfortunately cannot be identified, in the Corowa Pioneer Cemetery. His Death Certificate says that he was 100 years old, and his Obituary in the Corowa newspaper says that he was a "Centenarian". However his Certificate of Freedom says that his Year of Birth was 1791. Thus there is a discrepancy which is preventing placement of a plaque in his memory on the Memorial Wall erected by the City of Corowa at its Pioneer Cemetery. Unfortunately so far I have not been able to determine exactly in England where he was born or who his parents were. According to his Certificate of Freedom his "Native Place" was "Tyshurst, Warwickshire". There is no such place and there never has been to the best of my determination. Ticehurst in East Sussex was once spelled "Tyshurst" but professional researchers have not been able to find out anything about his early beginnings in and around this area. If you and your Team can help solve this mystery it would be wonderful. At the moment best guess is that his birth/christening may never have been recorded.
